Now with 4 MVP’s, what can the Dodgers do?
With the signing of Freddie Freeman, the Dodgers now have four active players who have won MVP’s; Mookie Betts, Clayton Kershaw, Cody Bellinger, and recently added Freddie Freeman. Does this make the Dodgers the favorite to win the National League West? The Giants added Carlos Rondon on the hill but lost Kris Bryant to the Rockies. Arizona and San Diego have not made huge splashes in the free agent market. With the Padres losing Tatis Jr. for potentially three months, does that affect the Padres chances of winning the West?
So let’s break down the Dodgers starting nine to make the point. At first base, Freddie Freeman; second base, Max Muncy; at shortstop, Trea Turner; at third, Justin Turner; behind the dish, Will “Fresh Prince of LA” Smith; in the outfield, AJ Pollock, Cody Bellinger, Mookie Betts, Chris Taylor and Gavin Lux. With this starting line up it is going to be hard not seeing the Dodgers win the West.
When you are talking money, past performance is not always indicative of future results, but in baseball it is. The Boys in Blue now have four MVP’s, as the title says, who have proven success at high levels. This author feels there is no way the Dodgers don’t win the West. Tell me what you think.
