Russell Holmes, born on July 1, 1982, in Fountain Valley, California, has captivated volleyball enthusiasts with his extraordinary skills and contributions to the sport. From his early days discovering a passion for volleyball to his standout collegiate career at Brigham Young University, where he was a 3-time All-American and an NCAA Division I National Champion, Holmes has been a force on and off the court. His accomplishments include being a 2-time BYU Hall of Fame inductee and winning 2 World Championships with the USA Volleyball Olympic team.
Russell transitioned to the professional level with remarkable success, competing in various leagues and tournaments worldwide. His career is highlighted by numerous accolades, including multiple All-Star selections, championships, and his role as an Olympic athlete. Known for his imposing presence at the net, exceptional blocking skills, and leadership, he has become a true icon in volleyball.
During this special virtual hangout, Russell will share insights into his extraordinary journey, from his early beginnings to his Olympic achievements and beyond. There will be plenty of time for you to ask questions and engage directly with this inspirational athlete and remarkable individual.
